Quality Assurance Performance Improvement
Designing and implementing improvement plans for you
Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) is a data driven and proactive approach to quality improvement.
QA is the process of defining the standards for quality of service and outcomes, and assuring they are maintained at acceptable levels. Quality Assurance is an ongoing, anticipatory, and retrospective effort to identify how the organization is performing, including where and why it is at risk of failing or has failed to meet standards.
PI is the continuous study and refinement of processes within an organization to further its achievements and decrease the likelihood or prevent drawbacks. Performance Improvement identifies areas of potential growth and tests new approaches to fix underlying causes of persistent/systemic problems or barriers to improvement.
QAPI in healthcare organizations
Effective QAPI programs are critical to improving the quality of life and quality of care of the services delivered in healthcare organizations. At Access-Salud we have developed a general framework for implementing a QAPI program based on five key elements of effective quality management:
- Design and Scope
- Governance and Leadership
- Feedback, Data Systems and Monitoring
- Performance Improvement Projects
- Systematic Analysis and Systemic Action
Our QAPI department will help your organization take a more proactive approach to continually improve the way you care for and engage with your residents, caregivers, and other partners. At Access-Salud we can help you define and implement your QAPI plan:
